Little Nella struggles to speak up while her voice is recovering from a minor surgery, her weak words too often unheard by those around her. If she just stays quiet until her voice heals, though, she won't have to keep getting ignored. Timid and lonely, she draws strength from the songs of the stars, drifting in through her window at night.

But when she finds a fallen star by the school playground, hoarse from calling for help all night, Nella is the only one who can help. In order to help him get home, Nella must find the courage to speak up for the star who lost his voice.
